OccupyWallStreet.Net Sold For $8,000

November 4, 2011 by John Napoletano

To better organize themselves the Occupy Wall Street movement purchased the domain name OccupyWallStreet.Net. Apparently there is a formalized group that publishes financial statements showing income and expenses for all to see. Someone complained that $8,000 was given to someone simply to profit off the movement. I hate to tell them that domain names have value and cost money. If it's a hot topic, you will pay more for the domain name. Any ways, all this formalization sounds to me like they are about to learn a lesson on Capitalism. Eventually the ones doing all the work will demand more pay for their efforts. Then what are they going to do, kick the lazy socialists out of management?
