GoDaddy Largest Domain Name Registrar
GoDaddy.com is the world's largest domain name registrar and web hosting provider. All of my domain names are registered through GoDaddy. Over the years I have found them hard to beat when it comes to the combination of price and service. I have tried many others but wont name names in this post. I know everyone has their favorite registrar and their reason for sticking with them. Here is a quick recap of information found on the GoDaddy.com about page, just to keep things in perspective.
- GoDaddy is the world's largest domain name registrar.
- More than 50 million domain names under management.
- One-third of the internet runs through GoDaddy servers.
- GoDaddy is larger than the next 8 closest registrars.
- GoDaddy.com was founded in 1997 by Bob Parsons.
- 24/7 round the clock customer support with no outsourcing.
The Go Daddy Group as formally called consists of three ICANN accredited domain name registrars: GoDaddy, Blue Razor Domains, and Wild West Domains. GoDaddy has eight facilities and operates in the states of Arizona, Iowa, Colorado and Washington, DC. Scottsdale, AZ is the corporate headquarters of The Go Daddy Group.
Go Daddy auctions hasn't been around as long as some of the other domain name auction websites. However, if you pay attention you will notice the broker name GoDaddy keeps popping up on the lists of largest year to date domain name sales. They seem to be pushing past the other major players in various stats. If you haven't visited in a while, take another look at GoDaddy Auctions to see which domain names are for sale at auction right now.
