Domain Name Sales Trend Q3 2011
Domain name sales trend for Q3 2011 showed a bit of a drop when compared to average domain name sales prices for Q2 and Q1 of this year. I don't think it will be an ongoing trend. Probably just fewer high priced sales versus previous quarters. Dot com domain names fetched an average sale price of $2,496 for Q3 2011. That is down from $3,114 on average according to Sedo market trends. Click that link to view the full report.
It is always interesting to see how the prices of gTLD compare with ccTLD domain names. On average the gTLD and ccTLD domain names seem to be of the same quality. If you watch the top gTLD domain name sales like .com and .net you will of course see the top domain names fetch far higher prices versus similar quality ccTLD such as .de .fr .es .at and .co.uk.
